Privacy Policy

Delty · Universal AI LLC · Effective September 25, 2026

The short version

Your health record and progress photos are stored on your device. Core tracking does not require an account. Purchases, optional analytics, and the optional research pilot use the services described below. Delty does not operate a server-side database of your health record or use advertising SDKs. We do not sell your data or share it with advertising networks.

What the app stores

Routine items, weights, measurements, check-ins, notes, and progress photos are stored locally on your device. Your device backups may include app data depending on your Apple settings. Delty does not upload your health record to its servers. Sharing or exporting creates a copy at the destination you choose.

What leaves your device

Camera and photos

Camera and photo-library access are used to capture and select progress photos and to read ingredient or product labels you choose. Label text recognition runs on your device; you review the recognized text before looking up a record. Label images are not sent to the AI research pilot. Photos stay on your device unless you explicitly share or export them. Alongside each scan, Delty stores a small analysis image and the capture measurements it uses to check that later scans can be compared (phone angle, the body landmarks you place, and lighting statistics). These stay on your device with the photo.

Motion sensor

While the camera is open, Delty reads your phone’s tilt from the motion sensor to help you hold each photo at the same angle. The tilt values are kept only as part of the scan’s capture measurements on your device. Motion data is never transmitted.

Earlier saved checks

Earlier saved check records and attached label photos remain on your device and are included in backups you choose to export. The current app preserves this history without creating new dose calculations. These records are not sent to an AI service.

Export my record

You can create an archive of your record — entries and progress photos — from Settings. The archive is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet; you choose where it goes. Delty does not keep a copy of your record on any server and does not store your record in iCloud. If you later restore an archive on another phone, that happens on that phone.

Apple Health

With your permission, Delty reads weight, waist, and if you allow it calories, protein and water from Apple Health, to fill in days you already recorded there. Days you typed yourself are kept. Delty never writes to Apple Health, and nothing read from it leaves your phone.

Usage analytics (optional, off by default)

Delty can send usage events to PostHog (a third-party analytics provider) only if you turn this on in Settings. Events describe which features were used (for example, that a check-in was saved) with numeric or true/false properties only; they never include weights, measurements, routine names, notes, photos, or anything you typed. A random per-install identifier is used, never your name, email, or device identifier. Turning analytics off stops uploads and clears the local queue and identifier; it cannot recall events already sent. To have previously sent events deleted, contact contact@universalaillc.com.

Optional evidence assistant

The assistant is optional and may be unavailable; a server-side switch controls it. It creates an anonymous account for this install with Supabase (no email, no password, no name). Before your first question the app shows what is sent and asks you to agree.

When you tap a question, Delty sends the selected ingredient name and one of three fixed questions through its Supabase backend to OpenAI, together with a reviewed study summary Delty already holds. Your photos, doses, weights, notes and everything else in your record are never sent. Answers are assembled from that reviewed study and can be wrong or incomplete; they are not advice, and the linked source is the thing to read.

Delty does not save answer text in any database. OpenAI requests are sent with response storage disabled; providers may still keep security and operational logs and connection metadata such as IP address under their own policies. Delty keeps a daily count of questions per anonymous account, and an aggregate daily count, to enforce limits; counters older than seven days are deleted on a schedule.

In the assistant panel you can choose Delete my assistant account. That removes the anonymous account and its counters; aggregate counts remain until scheduled cleanup. It does not touch your on-device record.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We run no push-notification server.

Deleting your data

Use Settings → "Delete all my data" to remove Delty’s local record. Copies you exported, device backups, and information already sent to optional providers are separate. To delete an assistant account, use Delete my assistant account in the assistant panel. To request help with provider-held data, contact us below. Deleting local data or a pilot account does not cancel your Apple subscription; manage subscriptions in your Apple settings.

Age

Delty is intended for users 18 and older.

Health disclaimer

Delty is a tracking tool. It is not a medical device and provides no medical or dosing advice. Consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.

Contact

Your iPhone backup

Your record and photos are part of your own iPhone backup (Apple’s encrypted device backup, if you have it turned on in iOS). That backup is yours, made by Apple; Delty never uploads your record anywhere and holds no copy of it.

Support email and error signatures

If something goes wrong, Delty keeps a short list of scrubbed error signatures on your phone (no health data, no free text). They are attached only to a support email you choose to send, together with your app version. Nothing is sent on its own.

Launch list (website sign-up)

If you enter your email on delty.app to be told when Delty is on the App Store, we store that email address, the optional referral code from the link you arrived on, and the time you signed up. It is sent once, from your browser to our Supabase project, through a function that can only add a row; the website key cannot read the list back. We use it for one launch email and nothing else — no newsletter, no sharing, no sale. To be removed from the list, email contact@universalaillc.com from that address.

If data we hold is breached

Delty holds no copy of your health record. If we learn of a breach of data we do hold about you — purchase status, an analytics identifier, an anonymous assistant account — we will notify you and, where the U.S. Health Breach Notification Rule applies, the Federal Trade Commission.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
